He currently serves as the in-stadium Public Address Announcer for Chicago Fire FC II and delivers live play-by-play coverage for NCAA Division I athletics on ESPN+, bringing high-energy, detail-driven commentary to national audiences.
Tejeda’s broadcast experience spans baseball, soccer, and basketball, with a proven ability to adapt across multiple roles including play-by-play commentator, public address announcer, replay operator, camera operator, and broadcast producer. At the University of Illinois Chicago Athletics, he has become a key voice across multiple programs, calling women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, and softball while also supporting live production workflows and technical execution.
His professional background includes a pivotal role with the Clinton LumberKings, where he served as Director of Broadcast & Media Relations and was the primary radio voice for more than 180 games over three seasons. In this role, he led full broadcast operations while also managing media relations, content creation, and team communications. Internationally, Tejeda expanded his reach with the Brisbane Bandits, contributing play-by-play commentary, field reporting, interviews, and digital content for Baseball+ broadcasts in Australia.
Beyond the booth, Tejeda has worked with organizations including the Minnesota Twins, Rockford IceHogs, and the Frontier League, gaining experience in broadcast production, journalism, and sports marketing. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Broadcast from the University of St. Thomas.
